New Balance specializes in providing customers with a unique professional fit service by knowing their customers’ detailed size, usage and orthopedic requirements. To improve on this service we created an iPad application to enhance the customer’s in-store shopping experience. It acts as a point of engagement during self-service and consultative sales interactions.
The application gives sales associates access to features and utilities that allow them to assist customers with sizing, product information and comparisons. It also provides a view into the full set of New Balance products while offering access to an array of information about their products and technologies.
Some weeks ago we started our own Memolane Timeline to capture all our activities on the social web. Deutsche Post DHL, a German logisitc company, offers a Facebook App that enables you to create a book with your personal selection of social networking memories. The application uses your personal facebook data (e.g. photos, comments, status updates, connections etc.) to visualize for example relations and priorities of your online behavior. You can view the book online as a Flash application or order a paperbook version for a small fee. According Datavis Blogger Benjamin Wiederkehr the graphic style is not unsimilar to Nicholas Feltron’s Personal Annual Reports, Facebook’s new Data Visualization Guru.
